El fabricante automovilístico francés Renault establecerá su presencia en Ucrania para producir drones, según reportó este domingo info.

Anteriormente, el ministro de Defensa de Francia, Sébastien Lecornu, anunció el viernes que una "importante empresa de producción de automóviles sa" fabricará drones en Ucrania, sin especificar cuál.

De acuerdo al medio, se trata de Renault, que se "asociará con una pyme sa especializada en defensa, con líneas de producción a decenas o cientos de kilómetros del frente". Una colaboración, que, según Lecornu, es beneficiosa para todos. No dio detalles sobre qué tipo de aparatos serán fabricados.

Los drones estarán destinados al Ejército ucraniano, "pero también los proporcionaremos a nuestras propias Fuerzas Armadas sas para que podamos disponer de un entrenamiento táctico y operativo permanente que refleje la realidad", explicó el ministro, agregando que de momento no era necesario que empleados ses trabajaran en estas líneas de producción.

Por su parte, el fabricante automotriz aún no ha tomado una decisión con respecto a este asunto. Al responder al medio, Renault confirmó que había sido ada por el Gobierno francés, pero precisó: "No se ha tomado ninguna decisión en esta etapa".
